Tonight I played the Lotto. Something I thought I would never do, but hey, why not live a little? I was at my favorite Thai restaurant with two of my favorite people and when we got our fortune cookies we decided to take advantage of the lotto numbers for once. We walked another block to the liquor store and all felt very silly asking the clerk how to play. I felt like a country mouse again. And we laughed a lot.
So I am very certain that on Saturday I will be a millionaire. In fact I think I will turn in my resignation now. Who needs a job when you are a millionaire. And with so much unemployment it is almost rude for me to keep this job from someone who might need it now that I will be a millionaire on Saturday.
