Labor Day Weekend Part 1

September 5th was the Summerville High Class of 1999's 10 Year Reunion. I was not excited. Well, I was very aware it was coming up and I was mildly looking forward to it, but when I got the invitation in the mail, I had a mild anxiety attack. So I called Victoria. And she laughed at me. And I felt better.
Victoria and Jason picked me up at Celeste's house. We laughed the whole way there. As soon as we pulled up to the Elk's Lodge, a few scruffy boys stumbled out acting like 18 year olds. I almost got back in the car. Instead we went inside and bought drinks. The best way to make it through any evening!

Victoria and her boyfriend Jason. She was a little annoyed that Tanner kept calling him her husband.

I wanted at least one picture with my red shoes. Without Victoria and the red shoes, I probably would have never made it to the event much less through the night!

They opened the time capsule that we had created at some point in high school. Mostly it was just letters to our future selves and letters to each other. Those envelopes did hold some surprises. For some reason Victoria thought she might need Advil in the future. Tanner seemed eager to find the letter he had written to Carly Witmer. Victoria and I would not let him open the ones addressed to her.

The last day of High School, Victoria and I had our picture taken with Luc. He was the tallest. We were the shortest. Those fabulous red heels give me a bit of an advantage now.

You might have noticed by now that most of the pictures have both Victoria and me in them. It just seemed right. Our last year in high school we made a huge effort to put as many pictures of ourselves in the yearbook as possible. You can do that when you are nerds and are the editors of the yearbook. This pic is Dave Twining and his girlfriend Shadow with us. See, occasionally we let other people in our pictures.

Our goodbye took quite a while....enough for Jason and Celeste to take about 10 pictures like this. What can I say. I love my Victoria!

Have you written Victoria a letter yet?
