Halloween 2010: The Final Chapter

The original reason we decided to go out on Halloween was that Ernie suggested it. He wanted to hang with us and go see people in costumes. Once mentioned, Conrad and I ran away with the idea. We invited several friends and planned to all meet at the house for a snack and then head over to West Hollywood to participate in the largest Halloween party in the world. For many years I had heard of this party, but had never considered going. Since I am lately trying to live by the motto, "Do what makes a better story," I decided that this was the year to make it happen. A few hours before the event began, Ernie decided he could not make it because he got all insecure about finding and wearing a costume. Considering we planned the whole thing at his suggestion, I told him off, threw a few well thought out insults his way and ultimately rescued his attendance.

Finally the evening began and we actually had some trick-or-treaters. They did not actually knock on our door, but we threw candy down to them.

Shortly afterward, the boys went to the store and I was quite delighted to see the similarities between my boys and the trick-or-treaters. I think it is the youthful expressions.

Me and Ernie

The whole gang starting from the house, Jennifer, Vampire Cody, Morton Salt Girl, Dr. Hitchcock and Chef Ernie.

Once in West Hollywood we met up with another friend, John and Conrad's brother Trev.

On the cab ride home. This was one of my favorite pictures of the night. Conrad was leaning through the window in the cab telling the driver to listen to me, that I knew the way home. I like hearing someone say, "Listen to the lady!"

All in all, it was a very fun evening...
