French's Chicken

So last summer I was invited by my company to come to the US headquarters for an orientation. I was not particularly excited to go back to New Jersey for a day, but that is another story entirely. The day ended up being both better and worse than I expected. The whole orientation was just half hour slide presentations by all the heads of the departments. The presenter for the food department let us know that in an effort to sell more French's french fried onions they created a quick and easy chicken recipe featuring the onions. I was surprised how simply created new recipe to sell the product and how well it worked. I remember being impressed with the marketing method and also being amused that the consumers fell for it.

But I never forgot the recipe. It was so simple. So I caved. Yes, I became another victory for the French's marketing team. I bought the french fried onions. I followed the recipe. There were not even any leftovers. I made it again... Link to the recipe below, but then again you might as well, just buy the onions and use the recipe on the label.

We made this last year at the "Taste of Home" cooking show in our area.

That is exactly what the Chef said... French's wanted people to think of more than green bean casserole when they thought of French's Onions.

And I'll admit, I love the chicken.

That is awesome, because I heard that recipe on the radio the other day and I totally though, wow, that sounds so easy and good. I should try it...
