Free Fallin

...Free fallin, now I'm free fallin, now Im I wanna glide down over Mulholland I wanna write her name in the sky Gonna free fall out into nothin Gonna leave this world for a while...

Tonight I decided that I wanted to go up on Mulholland and see the city. For those of you that don't know, Mulholland is a road on the mountain ridge between the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles. I was looking forward to seeing the lights of the entire city and it didn't quite turn out as I expected. It was kind of hazy and I couldn't see any of LA, but this is the San Fernando Valley...

I was planning on taking Mulholland much further than I actually did. I must have taken a wrong turn. I ended up on Sunset Blvd right beside the Beverly Hills Hotel.

I decided to take the opportunity and drop by another of my favorite places in LA.....UCLA.

I parked beside Murphy Hall. I only stayed for about ten minutes but all the drummers were outside practicing, so it ended up being a very cool experience.

Love the pictures. Love college/high school bands even more. I love watching them march. especially with their serious faces. I know that they are really just trying to stay in step... but I love to think that they take marching band seriously. Ha, ha, ha. cracks me up. Like cheerleaders think that cheering is a serious sport.
