Little Presents

So when my Mom left for Israel, she wrapped up some presents for me to open at different times. I think the first one was a present just to open whenever I wanted. It was this little music box that used to sit on the shelf in the kitchen in the yurt. It was a very nice childhood memory and made me smile.

One present was for Thanksgiving. Apparently this was a dish from my great grandma Stella's good dish collection. My Mom said she used to get it out every Thanksgiving to put on display.

And this last little present was saved for Christmas. When I was probably about six, my mom bought this little angel candle. Every Christmas when we got out the Christmas decorations, this was one of them. One year, Forest thought we should light the candle and I had a meltdown. I couldn't stand the thought of melting down my angel. Since then it was always a joke about lighting the angel. Opening this little present really made me smile.
