Saturday Tourist Adventure

This weekend I made Conrad take me to see the Hollywood sign. I have seen the sign a million times but always from a distance and he claimed to know a place to see it up close. Saturday afternoon we set out on our adventure. He admitted once we were on our way that he did not really remember how to get there exactly.... Here is the adventure in pictures....

Yeah, whatever. What do they know? We are locals. Not tourists. They probably just put that sign there because the residential streets would get too much traffic.

Or they really meant it. The "H" and "O" barely visible over the hill. Hmmm....so we should have listened to the sign. Ok, let's turn around.

Oh, that's better. Let me take a picture standing up through the sunroof. What? You say this is not the spot you had in mind. OK, but let's take a picture of ourselves in case you are wrong and this is as good as it gets.

Whoa. Way too close...but good job getting in the "H." Anyone would know where we were.

Much better. And no one would be able to tell that we stopped the car in the middle of the street and are standing up in the sunroof. Wait! Where is the Hollywood sign?

Maybe if we both lean out....there we go... Now let's see if we can go find the real destination we set out for.

There we go. In all its glory. HOLLYWOOD! No, I do not want a picture of me in front the sign. Ok, fine. Maybe one.

Umm...yeah. Great picture, thanks. Let's see if the crazy lady with Phil Specter hair will take one of both of us.

Ok, enough of the tourist stuff. Let's go get food. I'm starving.
