the Crafty Side

So one of the many cool things about having Jeannette for a friend is that she is always up for a new crafty project. We find all sorts of cool ideas and we always make them better....always. We found a candy corn wreath online and made one of our own. They took much longer than anticipated, but I think it was worth the effort!

Our latest idea was to make glittery button holiday trees. Sound confusing. It was a little. I bought several different cones to make into trees and Jeannette and I ended up inviting two more fantastic Jens to join in on the fun. The best part of inviting company was their crafty alternatives to the trees.

Jen J. was having a hard time getting started or even knowing what to do with her "tree."

Jen F. was off with a cool new idea totally different than our original idea. She does have a crafty side....

Jen J. and I were having issues with the hot glue gun. Many blisters on multiple fingers were making us crazy. She found the solution. Hold the margaritaville bottle fresh out of the freezer to tame the burns and take a shot to numb the pain.

It was a Monday night so I had to leave before mine was done. Mine was the middle one....it looks like a Hannukah tree, right?

And the finished product.....
