Story #1
I absolutely hate packing a lunch. Nothing sounds good in the morning and half the time, I get up with just enough time to get out the door anyway. Around lunchtime, I am obviously starving and decide to go buy myself some food. Every time I do this, I feel guilty for spending more money than I would have if I had just packed the stupid lunch. I have decided that there should be no more excuses. I am an adult and if I can not figure this out now, I never will. When I worked in the Gardena office I used to make myself peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I HATE peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, but I made them for two reasons. One, they are quick and easy to make. Two, they are cheap. Problem was that my coworkers would comment on how yummy they looked in the morning so I would give the sandwiches away. Thus defeating the entire purpose. The last few days have been easy. We had taco night on Wednesday, so yesterday and today I used up the leftover and made myself a taco salad for lunch. I am hoping I keep finding easy things to make that I actually like.
Story #2
For many years I have been a diehard blackberry fan and would turn up my nose at the iphone. I think the root of the snobbery was that I used to sell blackberries and iphone was obviously our greatest competition. More recently I have been noticing the capabilities of the iphone and have been increasingly envious. My current contract was scheduled to expire mid April and as luck would have it, Verizon got the iphone in February. I was very excited for the Verizon acquisition since I have not been a fan of AT&T and that was my last excuse for avoiding making the switch. As the day apporached when my contract expired I realized that since my phone still works, and I am not yet sure of the damages done to my financial situation by my disability and surgery I should wait. And save money. Really?! It is driving me nuts.
So I made a deal with myself. When I have packed 100 lunches, or at least not spent money on food while out in the field for 100 work days, then I am allowed to switch to Verizon and buy the iphone. (I also reserve the right to nullify this deal if I come into a large sum of money before the 100th day.)
Today is day 6.

How many lunches do you have to pack before you can go on an "Angle Sisters Fun Weekend"?
This is the ULTIMATE challenge! I am certain there is no electronic devise or any other item that would motivate this from me.
Packing a lunch is right up there with buying insurance or preventative car maintenance.
It appears to be a waste of time or money, preparing for something that you may or may not utilize.
