Forbidden Fruit

So back in Eden, Adam and Eve tasted the forbidden fruit and many undesirable consequences followed. I do not remember it ever saying specifically which kind of fruit was forbidden. I kinda always assumed it was a one and only kind of tree, therefore even if it was named, it would not be something we would recognize. So why do people always talk about the "apple" that Eve ate? And why in all the children's Bible story books is the fruit always an apple? I do like apples, but sometimes I hate them due to my dining hall year at UCLA. But really, I would like to think that if Adam and Eve threw away the Garden of Eden and living for eternity, that the fruit would have been more exotic and more tasty than an apple.

It was a pomgranite... who knows. Do you even think that we eat them now?

That is funny, I was thinking pomegranate too... I do agree with you about the exotic fruit thing too.
