The One and Only, Jackson Browne

Last night I saw Jackson Browne at the Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. The last time I saw Jackson Browne at the Orpheum Theatre was the weekend of November 19, 2001....that date might ring a bell for some of you....

He did a fabulous mixture of his old classics and new songs from "Time the Conqueror." He sang one of my favorites "Everywhere I Go" that I remember wishing so badly that he would play last time. He performed "Running on Empty"....Yeah, take that, John McCain! When he came back for the encore, all I wanted to hear was "I Am A Patriot," just because it is election year. And I got my wish.

And I ain't no communist
And I ain't no capitalist
And I ain't no socialist
And I ain't no imperialist
And I ain't no democrat
Sure ain't no republican
I only know one party
And it is freedom

I am, I am, I am
I am a patriot
And I love my country
Because my country is all I know
